World War III Is Escalating

It is not one big war, but a few large and small military
conflicts around the world. Now, after months of silence,
Israel has launched next "preemptive" attack on Iran.

It is very interesting and symbolic description for this wall painting:
A mural painted by the Israeli graffiti artist Shir Lamdan and the Iranian graffiti artist Hooman Khalili. In the painting, Queen Esther is seen on the left and the soldier Shirel Ĥaim Pour who was murdered by Hamas in the October 7 attack. In the center, riding a lion which is one of Iran's symbols, is the image of Kosar Khoshnoudikia, an Iranian archer who lost her left eye when she was shot in a demonstration against the Revolutionary Guards regime.
On the right side of the painting, hands make a heart shape with the colors of the flag of Israel and the flag of Iran before the Islamic revolution, on the left side a map of Iran with different names of the kingdom on it. At the top of the piece is the Kurdish slogan that became a protest slogan in the Iranian opposition 'Woman, Life, Freedom' and around it are several quotations from the Bible in Hebrew and English: Jeremiah 49:38 and 39, Esther 4:14, Hosea 11:10 Isaiah 9:4.

I looked at this photo and suddenly thought: if the creators of this mural were the leaders of their countries, there would be no hostility and war between Israel and Iran. Well, that's just fantasy...
Why do normal people often elect criminals, scoundrels or religious fanatics as their rulers? Or do they become like that after being elected?
……….

Israel has launched next "preemptive" attack on Iran.

On the morning of June 13, Israel has launched more than 300 airstrikes on Iran as part of “Rising Lion” operation, targeting Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile facilities, and the country's top military leadership.
The Israel Defense Forces has named the attack a “preventive measure,” and Israeli Prime Minister B. Netanyahu explained that Iran already has enough enriched uranium to make nine nuclear warheads.

Iran called the attack a "declaration of war" and confirmed that Israeli strikes hit military targets and the homes of senior military officials. Iranian UN envoy claimed that Israel’s strikes on Iran have killed 78 people on June 13th, including top military commanders, and wounded more than 320. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the deaths of several commanders and scientists would not stop Iran from harshly punishing Israel for the attack.

Immediately after its strikes on Iran, Israel declared a state of emergency, and Iran fired about 100 missiles at Israel, killing three people and injuring about 80 in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

B. Netanyahu stated that operation Rising Lion will last “as many days as it takes.”
He also addressed the Iranians, assuming that some of them are dissatisfied with the current regime: “The Islamic regime, which has oppressed you for almost 50 years, threatens to destroy our country… The objective of Israel’s operation is to thwart the Islamic regime’s nuclear and ballistic missile threat to us. As we achieve our objective, we are also clearing the path for you to achieve your freedom.
I.e., it is not only a war started by Israel based on its own interests, but also a “liberation” of some Iranians. In a similar way, Mr. Putin has been “liberating” Ukraine for more than 3 years, but the Ukrainians for some reason do not want to be “liberated.”

On the night of June 15, the Iranian army continued its massive missile attack on Israel. 13 people were killed and at least 380 injured. The strikes continued in both directions throughout Sunday, the first time since the conflict erupted earlier this week that assaults continued during daytime.
……….

Complex relations between the two countries.

Israel and Iran have not liked each other for a long time.
The Islamic Republic of Iran's foreign policy doctrine includes calling for the destruction of Israel as a Jewish state since 1979 and many Iranian leaders have openly stated that.
Israel heard everything and took countermeasures.

From spring to autumn 2024 the parties exchanged attacks in the form of acts of sabotage and airstrikes over the heads of their neighbors (Iraq, Syria, Jordan), and then went quiet for a while, promising each other the "retribution." It was clear that the day of retribution was not far away. And now, it seems, it has happened on June 13, 2025.
……….

The world's reaction: every country is against the war.

Russia is behind Iran, and the US supports Israel.
Russia's Foreign Ministry expressed "extreme concern" over Israel's strike on Iran, condemned it as an “unprovoked aggression” and called it a «dangerous escalation that violated the United Nations Charter and international law.” That's it. The Russians teach others to comply with the UN Charter, not noticing that Russia has been conducting the same "unprovoked aggression" against Ukraine for almost 3.5 years.

The US Secretary of State M. Rubio stated that Israel acted unilaterally without consulting the American side.
This marks Mr. Trump’s fourth failure on the international stage, since his attempts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, bring peace to Gaza and the trade war with China have all failed. Indeed, only a liar and braggart like Mr. Trump could promise to end decades-old conflicts “in 24 hours.”

The reaction of the rest of the world to Israel's actions has been largely alarmed and negative.
International deliberative and special organizations (UN, NATO, International Atomic Energy Agency), China, EU, UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Africa Union, Afghanistan, Hamas (!) expressed concern and asked the parties to refrain from further escalation.

What’s interesting: foreign Minister of France, Jean-Noel Barrot, posted on X that Paris remained “deeply concerned” over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and stood “by Israel’s right to respond to attacks.”
Czech Republic Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said Israel’s attacks on Iran were a “reasonable reaction”.

Israel’s “military aggression” against Iran was unambiguously condemned by Iraq, Oman, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Hezbollah, Houthis, Pakistan, Indonesia, Japan.

As you can see, basically all countries are against Israel's aggressive attack. Almost everyone is against it and no one can do anything.
……….

Why can no one do anything?

Throughout globalization, humanity has failed to create an effective supranational mechanism for resolving disputes between different countries. The UN is a deliberative democratic body and cannot make an agreed decision, especially if the dispute involves member of the UN Security Council (USA, UK, France, Russia, China) which, as a rule, pursue opposing interests due to ideological peculiarities.
This is a good example of the complete uselessness of democracy at the highest level.

That is why, in particular, the UN has failed to create a "global policeman" who would have the authority to put criminals in their place. Previously, the US was considered to be such a "global policeman" by default, but America preferred not to interfere in conflicts where one of the parties had nuclear weapons. Now Mr. Trump and members of his administration are directly saying that the US is not going to protect anyone and "America is first." That is why international courts like International Criminal Court exist, but there is no mechanism for implementing their decisions, so the right of the mighty is clearly replacing the might of the right in the world.
War criminal Mr. Putin and war criminal Mr. Netanyahu keep doing their dirty stuff and all the above-mentioned “powerful” UN, NATO, different countries and even the “outstanding” current American president do not want to get involved with them.

Now all countries where American military bases are located can safely kick them out of their territory: the US is no longer useful in terms of protection. In addition, Mr. Trump (like Mr. Biden and Obama before him) is clearly weak against Mr. Putin and Mr. Netanyahu, not to speak about Mr. Xi.
Let “America first” be only in the US.
……….

Every country is against the war, but together all are for it.

It is impossible to determine at the first glance who is right or wrong in the latest escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran, as well as to reconcile the warring parties. What all countries should understand is that they have to arm now themselves, preferably with nuclear weapons. Then they will be able to talk equally with any impudent and large countries, just like Kim Jong-un talked to Mr. Trump in 2019.

World War III is escalating, although everyone seems to be against it.
So, do wars start by themselves? No. They are started by specific people - V. Putin, B. Netanyahu, for example, and the International Criminal Court has correctly defined them as war criminals.
Does war criminal Mr. Netanyahu want a war with Iran? Of course not, but Iran (Hamas, Hezbollah) is a “threat,” he says, so Israel seems to have no choice, but to launch “preventive strikes” against Iran (as well as in Gaza and Lebanon). These “preventive actions” are outbreak of war.

Russians also "preventively" attacked Ukraine 3+ years ago because there was (or wasn't?) a "threat" of its joining NATO. Are Russians against peace in Ukraine now? Of course not, but only on their own terms, which include the absorption of Ukraine by Russia, and therefore the war criminal Mr. Putin will bomb Ukrainian cities until the slow-witted Ukrainians agree to that.

And it turns out that every country is against the wars, but together all are for them and let them happen. The same can be said about all the other smoldering and active current armed conflicts globally, which there are currently more than 110 ones. Some of them last for more than 50 years.
……….

What can be done to someone else's war?

Relations between states are exactly the same as relations between people.
What would you personally do if you saw someone was robbing or killing another person and there was no police to call?

You would:
1. Stand up for the victim of the attack yourself. This is great, but it requires a certain amount of courage, physical strength, preferably a weapon, and yet not everyone wants to intervene.
2. Start shouting loudly, distracting the bandit and calling everyone else to help which also requires a certain amount of courage.
3. Begin to silently photographing the scene of the attack or filming it which is safer than everything above.
4. Pass by silently which is the safest option for you at the moment and very dangerous for the city you live in in the future.

You can act as you wish in such situation, but with any of the above actions you will definitely not want to have any dealings with the attacking bandit (unless you are a bandit yourself, of course). You will try to stay away from him after. This is the boycott declared against the bandit country. And this is right, because you understand very well that nothing good will come of dealing with a bandit.

Unfortunately, the elites who rule your country are not as wise as you. They make decisions for you, but they are only interested in money and power, so their decisions often harm their nations. And the Russians have always been willing to pay generously for such services. For example, why did Mr. Putin hire former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder for a very high-paying job in Russian best oil and gas companies? I think that in 20 years we will find out that the current US President also receives money from the Russians. I cannot explain in any other way Mr. Trump’s incomprehensible favoritism towards Mr. Putin and the betrayal of traditional democratic American values shared with the allies in Europe.
……….

"It is better to lose with a clever person than to find with a fool."

The US almost always and in every way supports Israel, sells it weapons, votes synchronously in international organizations, etc. It would be good for the leaders of America to ask to prepare for them a reference book on the history of Israel's relations with neighboring countries (the list is here) and try to figure out whether Israel is always right and maybe sometimes it is not worth supporting it.

Former Chancellor of Germany А. Merkel and then-president of France F. Hollande tried to restore peace between Russia and Ukraine in 2014-15, but Germany and France did not break ties with Russia and kept actively buying oil and gas from there. I remember that the main argument that has been often used by the Russian media then was: “The West will not stop buying oil and gas from us.” The Russians spoke openly about what was most important for them, but the West hadn’t listen and had no intention of interrupting its “business as usual.”

Now imagine that Germany, France and many other countries who believe that it is wrong to trade with bandits, individually or together, declared a trade boycott on Russia and broke off all ties except formal diplomatic ones.
I think that then there would be no full-scale war in Ukraine, and now Europe would not have to hastily arm itself out of fear of a possible Russian invasion. But it is the collective West with its tolerance and inaction which created Mr. Putin as he is now, and Mr. Netanyahu, too.

There is a good Russian proverb: "It is better to lose with a clever person than to find with a fool." I have paraphrased it for myself as follows: "It is better to lose with a decent person than to find with a scoundrel." It has always helped me in life and I could never find anything worthwhile with scoundrels. You will only find problems with a scoundrel (or a bandit), unless you are scoundrel or bandit yourself.

I wonder if Mr. Putin will decide to test NATO's Article 5 in action by attacking one of the alliance's countries?
German intelligence service says “yes”. Then the next episode of the World War III begins in Western (or Southern?) Europe, and the initiator will be the same - imperial Russia, wishing to rise from its knees which means bringing its neighbors to their knees.
……….

P.S. I have already written that humanity faces great trials ahead: increasing man-made and natural disasters, diseases/ viruses/ pandemics, extreme weather, floods, polluted environment, collapse of ineffective international organizations and different states (both democratic and authoritarian), shortages of water, food, energy and, of course, wars.
The Program (aka Cosmos, Absolute, Totality or God), which we all live in, is no longer in favor of humans.
Welcome to the century of Disintegration. World War III, which is a series of large and small military conflicts around the world, helps much the humanity to disintegrate.
